Condo in the Mountains

If you like to fish and hunt or just love the wild things, here is an affordable vacation home next to four million acres of public lands and parks, near one of the best trout streams in Montana and a measly 14 mile as the crow flies or a 26 mile hike to the Yellowstone Park with virtually hundreds of deer wandering the country side. The condo is turn key and the price includes antique and new furniture, a pullout bed, pots, pans and dishes. Bring your toothbrush and move in! Laundry facilities are in the main part of the Lodge, which also has a kitchen, lounge, pool and ping-pong tables, a large deck, a row boat and a pond stocked with fish right at your front door. There is a half bath downstairs and a bath with shower upstairs in the loft which serves as the master bedroom. There are 704 square feet of living space with vaulted ceiling, a wood burning fireplace and a spiral staircase to the loft, which could easily be exchanged for a straight stairway. The kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and electric range with hood.

The subdivision is served by a community well and the Homeowners Association is active and on its toes. If you have a horse, there is a separate Horse Owners Association and pasture. Cathedral Mountain is a gated community right in the mountains and adjacent to the National Forest, with three lakes on the properties which are regularly stocked with fish. You may keep three fish per day, if you can catch them. A couple more lakes can be found right next door in the forest and fishing access to the Stillwater, a Blue Ribbon trout stream, is just down the hill. You may use the lodge for entertaining.

When you are not home, there is a full-time caretaker who will check on the condo, plow the roads in winter, and he also hires out for cleaning. Such a deal! About a mile from this subdivision is the local bar, a post office, fire station and the general store of Nye. Five miles up the road is an excellent restaurant. A sportsmen's club with a shooting gallery is just up the canyon, a one year membership costs $ 25.- For skiing and golfing you have to come to Red Lodge, which is about 45 miles from there.
